Chicken in a creamy thyme and mushroom sauce

Some of the ingredients used in this recipe are





Ingredients for the marinade

  • Chicken breast boneless- 2 medium size

  • Olive oil-1 tbsp

  • Onions-finely chopped-2 tbsp

  • Garlic-1.5 tbsp

  • Fresh thyme- a few sprigs

  • Salt & black pepper to taste


Ingredients for the sauce

  • Olive oil-1 tbsp

  • Butter-1 tbsp

  • Mushrooms sliced-1/2 cup

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Garlic-1 tbsp

  • Parsley-1 tbsp

  • Thyme- a few sprigs

  • Fresh cream-1.5 tbsp

  • Chicken stock/water-2 tbsp

  • Fresh parmesan cheese- as per taste



Method


1.Marinade the chicken with the above mentioned ingredients and keep it aside.


2.In a saucepan,add olive oil, butter,and fry the marinated chicken on both sides until done.


3.In another pan,add olive oil, butter,mushrooms,salt,pepper,garlic,parsley,cream,stock and parmesan cheese and let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce gets a bit thick.


4. Once done,pour this sauce over the fried chicken and garnish with parsley.Serve hot.
